Happy weekend all,
first of all thank you for the nice response to my latest deviations, I am glad you enjoy the water , dew and
bokeh. For those who cannot grasp that real
bokeh does exist outside the texture and brush world in Photoshop, I have uploaded a screen shot of an opened RAW / NEF file ( if yo do not know what RAW stands for read here :
[link] , NEF is the Nikon Electronic Format ). I took the screen shot of a real crappy picture I took ( similar to
A New Day ) , its crooked and not really in focus , but even a bad shot can show the huge amount of bokeh produced by light, water and of course the right aperture setting. Who would have thought that I have to give proof that I am capable of taking a picture with a camera ? I guess the insane amount of people who cannot admit to using brushes and textures in their photographs have caused mistrust ?! So here is a screen cap of an open RAW ( you cannot add textures and / or brushes to a RAW ) :

Now an explanation of how I take those shots : Most pictures contain no rain, but dew drops ( The only image that does contain actual rain is
Magic Wonderland ) . The high humidity we have here lately gives me plenty of morning dew , all I need to do is get up early and get out. All the images are taken at ground level, which means I lay down either on a towel or a large garbage bag ( but that doesn't prevent me much from getting dirty, since I keep forgetting to move them when I change positions ) . To stabilize the camera I use a beanbag and then let the fun begin. To achieve the bokeh I face the camera into the light at least in the direction where the sun is coming from. A wide aperture and if necessary a WB adjustment , metering mode set to center -weighted average and click . Sometimes it is hard to see the actual bokeh through the view finder , at least the amount is hard to make out , so its a real eye candy when you realize later after opening the file how much and wide the bokeh outcome is. The more light is bouncing around , the more bokeh is possible.
I hope everyone is happy with this short explanation and of course you need a program like Photoshop or Aperture to open a RAW , but you do not need brushes and textures if you took the picture right in first place

Have a great weekend

I was a good girl !

It's really sad that some people think that such things can only be achieved with image manipulation and not just a camera.
