Macro Photography Contest : Detail in Macro

Instead of making this a contest where you have to capture a specific
subject, macro photography  techniques is what we are focusing on and
each entry should show as much detail as possible. Please read the
complete contest description.
(open to all Photography > Macro sub galleries : human/ nature/ objects)

This contest focuses on macro photography techniques and you can
choose whatever subject you like but it has to meet the requirements
of the Photography > Macro galleries which are :

* The maximum size of the subject photographed can not be larger then
2.5 cm ( 1 inch ), it has to be one subject or part of a larger
subject. Make sure that the image shows as much detail as possible.

* The image must be new and submitted on July 1st 2008 or later.

* The picture must be new and taken for this contest.

* The minimum image size uploaded must be at least 800 px at the longest side.

* The magnification ratio should be at least 1:1 but can be larger (
e.g. 2:1, 4:1, etc. )

* A digital photo must contain exif data, if it is not automatically
added then please add it to the description. Analog pictures must have
added exif data in the description.

* Please explain in your description what technique was used and also
include a link to this contest in your description.

* Only photography is allowed with minor adjustments (slight curves,
levels, color adjustments etc. adding a border is allowed as well, but
make sure the actual image without a border is min. 800 px at the
longest side)

* 2 entries per person are allowed

Contest starts : July 1st 2008 and ends July 31st 2008 11:59 pm  PST

The Contest will be judged on technical aspects rather than on
originality, but that should not stop you from getting creative.

Contest  submissions must be uploaded to the category Contests &
Projects -> Contests -> 2008 ->Detail in Macro

Prizes :
1st - $50 devcash + 1 year sub
2nd - $30 devcash + 6 month sub
3rd - $15 devcash + 3 month sub
