Hello everyone,

I am going to keep this AR Macro Newsletter real short but I want to remind everyone that all macro related articles and journals can be found here . There are also links to various FAQs etc , including a link to a list with all Gallery Directors. I am saying this because I keep getting notes with questions about macro that can be answered by reading any previous journals / articles. I really don't see the point why I have to explain stuff individually when it is all written down and answered already ! And DD suggestions : Please only send me macro DD suggestions , I am not featuring anything else ( read here on how to suggest a DD )

There will be a chat in #macroART on Thursday, June 19th at 4pm EST . At least this is the plan for now unless something happens and I can't make it here . It's going to be a general chat where you can talk about anything macro.

Create your own visitor map

Calibrating your monitor for viewing photographs correctly:

The strip shows a range of greys from pure black to pure white.
You should be able to see a clear difference between each
shade of grey, ranging from pure black (left) and pure white (right).

Along the top of the strips are alternate patches of black and dark grey.
If it looks solid black to you (look very carefully),
your monitor's brightness setting is too low. Increase it until you can -just- perceive the difference between the grey and the black squares.
