Hello everyone ,

time has come to test your knowledge so I hope you are al prepared to answer a few questions on what is macro and macro related things. Please read the news article for the Trivia in #macroART, heart it, promote it and spread the word. I would really like to see a lot of people show up and participate.

What is Macro Photography ? A Triivia in #macroART on February 9^th, 2008

Lots of educating in Macro photography has been done over the past months,
covering many topics about what Macro photography is and what is needed
to venture in the world of Macro. If you haven’t followed those journals and news
you can find all articles here : Macro Photography Links & FAQs

So with that said we want to test your knowledge on the subject of Macro Photography. On February 9th between 3 and 6pm EST we will be having a contest/ trivia in #macroART. The trivia will be starting at 3pm promptly and will consist of 20 questions. The questions will be issued every 5 minutes until all 20 questions have been presented. The first three deviants to send all 20 questions correctly answered by note to ^hellfirediva , will receive a prize. It is recommended to join #macroART promptly at 3pm EST since questions might not be repeated (To find your timezone click here).

Simple, you need to know and understand Macro Photography and you should have done some reading through the links in the Macro FAQs.

Create your own visitor map

Calibrating your monitor for viewing photographs correctly:

The strip shows a range of greys from pure black to pure white.
You should be able to see a clear difference between each
shade of grey, ranging from pure black (left) and pure white (right).

Along the top of the strips are alternate patches of black and dark grey.
If it looks solid black to you (look very carefully),
your monitor's brightness setting is too low. Increase it until you can -just- perceive the difference between the grey and the black squares.
