Hi there,

my name is Kristina Kotarski, but feel free to call me Tina. I am not Polish, neither do I have any Polish ancestors. I get asked this a lot so I thought I clarify it here. I simply married a man who has Polish ancestors, therefor my last name.

I am a freelance photographer living in Ohio now, originally I am from Germany. My passion is nature when it comes to photography, but I really like to take challenges and photograph any other subject as well.

Rants from hell......

Hey guys,

I hope you all had a great weekend and much fun in the sun. Well I had some, at least on Saturday. Sunday was a bit rainy and today it is a bit cooler ( 70s that is lol, well cool for me ). I am already looking forward to the next weekend, we are gonna have a little cookout on the 4th and that should be fun :ahoy:

As I said in my last journal, I have been irritated about a company not sending me my paycheck, money that is due for a service done in May ( let's not even start what they owe me for June ). But yes that May paycheck was due a good while ago now and again no money in the mail today. I actually called them last week and asked what is up with that and the excuse was that I should have it any day . Well now it is almost July and I am starting to get slightly ticked off. Nice business tactics eh ?! :|

I have like 50 deviants bookmarked to check out :lol: now I so wanna make time to do that and I better make it happen this week. It should be a rather slow week for me which is good. YAY for some dA time :D

Calibrating your monitor for viewing photographs correctly:

The strip shows a range of greys from pure black to pure white. You should be able to see a clear difference between each shade of grey, ranging from pure black (left) and pure white (right).




Along the top of the strips are alternate patches of black and dark grey. If it looks solid black to you (look very carefully),your monitor's brightness setting is too low. Increase it until you can -just- perceive the difference between the grey and the black squares.

Tina, thank you so much for making "Acrobat" a favorite. You can't imagine what it means to me that you, the Mistress of Macro, like my photo. I think it actually means more to me than my DD, and the DD means a hell of a lot!
